Once you are in Slovenia, all its diverse attractions are in the palm of your hand.
From the capital Ljubljana you can be in the heart of Slovenian Alps in an hour. In two hours, you can be on the Adriatic coast, and to reach the lovely Pannonian plain takes no more than three hours’ driving. There you will also find the charming city of Maribor, the second largest city of Slovenia. Cities and villages, coastal summer resorts and spas, winegrowing hills and friendly gostilnas (inns) with authentic Slovene cuisine, casinos, special events, sport, recreation, culture, castles and churches, museums and galleries, past and present at the crossroad of time…

In very few other countries will you find such diverse Landscapes and natural habitats with so many endemic and autochthonous animal and plant species.
Slovenia gained its independence in 1991. It has since established an international position and reputation as a democratic, stable and successful central European country, which is endeavouring to gain its territorial integrity and the Slovenian national identity while at the same time preserving its natural and cultural heritage. Slovenia became a member of the European Union in 2004.
