Slovenian University Sports Association (SUSA) is a national university sports association in the Republic of Slovenia. Members of SUSA are sports associations, which operate on the territories of Slovenian Universities: university sports associations of Maribor, Ljubljana and Primorska. More than 20,000 students are involved in sports programs, which are being organised by the before mentioned associations.

Slovenian University Sports Association is a member of FISU (since 1997), a member of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) and a member of the Olympic Committee of Slovenia.

In 2002 the Ministry of Education and Sport awarded Slovenian University Sports Association a title of an association, which operates in public interest in sport in the Republic of Slovenia.

Slovenian University Sports Association has been recognised by the Slovenian Student Union and the Slovenian Universities as a legal and legitimate representative of Slovenian student sports and it has been supported as the national university sports association in its work.

SUSA organised the following international university sports events in Slovenia:

2002 – 2nd European University Basketball Championship (Koper)

2003 – 3rd European University Volleyball Championship (Maribor)

2003 – 5th General Assembly of the European University Sports Association (Ljubljana)

2005 – 2nd European University Beach-Volleyball Championship (Portorož)

2006 – 16th World University Table Tennis Championship (Maribor)
2007 – International seminar on university sport (Ljubljana)
2007 – 4th European Universities Futsal Championship (Izola)

In the next years SUSA will organise:

2008 – 11th World University Futsal Championship (Koper)
2009 – 4th European Universities Handball Championship (Ljubljana)

Since 1995, more than 1,100 Slovenian students have participated on the international university championships under the umbrella of SUSA and gained the following achievements:

• 13 medals – Summer Universiade
• 64 medals – Winter Universiade
• 10 medals – World University Championships
• 19 medals – European University Championships
