FISU Delegation which is on its evaluation inspection visit in Maribor these days, was present at the technical presentation of the project. The competition sites and capabilities in Maribor and Ruše were presented by top Slovene experts from various sports: Tone Vogrinec - alpine sports, Bojan Jošt - ski jumping, Janez Pustovrh, cross country and combined, Boris Čeh - Ice Hockey, Iztok Kvas - Snowboarding, Janez Vodičar - Biathlon, Ivan Pfeifer - Ice Skating, and others.


The organisers also focused on other important aspects of organising such a big event - as the Universiade definitely is - transport and logistics, accommodation, accreditation center, technical solutions, graphic design, etc.


From the presentations it could be deducted that Slovenia and the University City of Maribor are already ready for the Universiade 2011.

In the afternoon, the delegation members visited Pohorje with the competition sites, and were present at the official opening on the renewed Tabor Ice Hall where they watched hockey match between the teams of Maribor and Ljubljana.

In the evening, the delegation was received in the Maribor City Hall by the Mayor of Maribor.
