The Slovenian University Sport Association and its partners organised the Press Conference, at which they officially announced the bid for the 2011 Winter Universiade in Maribor to the Slovenian press. |
| Present at the press conference were Mr. Otmar Kugovnik, the President of SUSA, Mr. Boris Sovic, the Mayor of Maribor, Mr. Janez Kocijancic, the President of the Slovenian Olympic Committee, Mr. Ivan Rozman, the Rector of the University of Maribor, Mr. Simon Starcek, the General Director of the Directorat for Sport of the Ministry of Education and sport, Mr. Roberto Outeirino and Mr. Eric Saintrond, FISU Representatives. The press conference was chaired by Mr. Matjaz Pecovnik, SUSA Secretary General. After the Press Conference Mr. Kugovnik presented the bid book of the candidate city to Mr. Outeirino and Mr. Saintrond in front of a large media audience with TV, radio and printed press present. |
