The representatives of the bidding committee for the 2011 Universiade Maribor Mr. Boris Sovic, the Mayor of Maribor, Mr. Ivan Rozman, the Rector of the University of Maribor, Mr. Matjaz Pecovnik, SUSA Secretary General and Mr. Bozidar Pucnik, SUSA Vice- President were present at the 3rd FISU Rectors’ Forum which was held in Bangkok from July 19 to 22, 2006. |

The Slovenian delegation had a stand, where the promotional material for 2011 Winter Universiade was distributed. The event was also the opportunity to meet with many representatives of FISU Member Associations who attended this event as well as with FISU officials.
The FISU Rectors´ Forum was also the opportunity to promote other FISU events. Beside Slovenia, also the organisers of the Summer Universiade 2007, the World University Woodball Championship 2006, which will both be held in Bangkok and the Summer Universiade Belgrade 2009 had a stand and promoted their events. |
