The 70-member Slovenian delegation which travels to Torino, is having a meeting and a Press Conference on Friday, January 12.
At the Press Conference, the list with names of the 45 students athletes competing in alpine skiing, snowboarding, ski jumping, Nordic combined, cross country, figure skating and short track will be known.
Over 350 Slovenian athletes have so far competed in various disciplines at the international winter university games. They are one of the most successful teams, winning 54 medals in the last 6 Winter Universiades. We hope that our athletes will continue this tradition and will return from Torino with recognitions of their sports competence and excellence.
The 23rd Winter Universiade will take place in Torino, Italy, from January 17 to 27. Students from all over the world will compete in 11 winter sports (Alpine Skiing, Biathlon, Cross Country Skiing, Curling, Figure Skating, Ice Hockey, Nordic Combined, Short Track, Ski Jumping, Snowboarding and Speed Skating), and a demonstrational sport Synchronised Skating.
