The traditional Zlata lisica (Golden Fox) World cup in skiing for women (slalom and giant slalom), 43rd in a row, concluded successfully.

This year the Zlata lisica Cup took place on January 6 and 7, and it was moved to Kranjska gora which hosted the event otherwise traditional for Maribor. The organisers carried out the event superbly, and the track was very dynamic, allowing competitors to fully show their skills. "The best slope of the season!" was a common comment of the racers and trainers after the conclusion of the competition.

Slovenian University Sports Association promoted the bid for the 25th Winter Universiade Maribor 2011 at this event, and reached an audience of 5,000 spectators attending the trophy in person, as well as numerous winter sports enthusiasts at home through live TV coverage.

Many of the guests attending the 10th anniversary of SUSA also attended this internationally well-known event. On Sunday, Mr. Killian, the President of FISU, awarded the top racers in Giant slalom with bouquets.

This year's overall winner and the Golden Fox Trophy recipient was Sarka Zahrobska, CZE, while individual events were won by Nicole Hosp, AUT in Giant Slalom, and Marlies Schild, AUT in Slalom.
