Valencia, a wonderful Spanish city was the venue of the 8th EUSA General Assembly, which took place from December 1-3, 2006.

The representatives from 33 EUSA member federations participated on the event. Beside them, also many guests were present, including a huge number of FISU Executive Committee members, EUSA Technical Delegates, EUC 2007 Organisers and members of European bidding cities for Universiades 2011 such as Poznan, Kazan, Murcia, Belgrade Universiade 2009 and also Maribor.

Slovenia was at the delegation represented by eight-member delegation, which included: dr. Otmar Kugovnik (SUSA President), mag. Božidar Pučnik (SUSA Vice-President), Matjaž Pečovnik (SUSA Secretary General), Boris Sovič (Former Mayor of Maribor), Marko Rataj (Pohorje Sports Centre Technical Director), Saša Albreht (President of Slovenian Students Union), Patrik Peroša (member of SUSA Executive Committee) and Sara Rožman (SUSA office).

The Maribor 2011 delegation had its own stand, on which all the participants of the event could get basic information on the candidature for hosting Winter Universiade. The promotional material was delivered and the promotional film was presented. Among the people, who answered the Maribor Questionnaire, a lucky winner was raffled, getting ELAN skis as the first reward.

Along the General Assembly, the Seminar "University, Tourism and Sport" as well as the Convention for the European Universities Championships 2007 organisers were held in Valencia. More information on the event: http://www.eusa-unisport.org.
