The FISU Evaluation commission focused on inspecting the facilities on Maribor Pohorje on their second day of their visit. The Maribor Pohorje will host the majority of sports; namely alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross country (sprint) ad ski jumping. The organisers showed them the tracks, existing and planned accommodation facilities, multi-purpose sports hall, the snow stadium and other technical structures needed for executing the Universiade.


In the afternoon, the delegates saw the Tabor Ice Hall, which hosted the national ice hockey team for their training. In the evening, they will attend the reception with the Vice mayor of Ruše, Mr Ladislav Pepelnik.

The delegates’ visit concludes tomorrow, when they meet with the organising committee of the 26th Winter Universiade once again. After that, a draft of their evaluation report will be made, and later on presented at the press conference. In the afternoon, the final formal reception will be held at the University of Maribor by the Rector of the University, prof. dr. Ivan Rozman.
