On behalf of the University of Maribor, I express the full support to the bid of the Slovenian University Sports Association for the organization of the 26th Winter Universiade in 2013.

Maribor also hosts the women world ski cup, the “Golden Fox” slalom and giant slalom races that take place every January.

We strongly believe that Maribor with its wonderful location and background, as well as dedication and readiness, has all the possibilities for the preparation of a marvellous event.
